Imphal, January 08 2015: A one-day sensitisation programme on Swachh Bharat Mission (Grahmin) was held today at Sanakeithel (Sinakeithel) village in Ukhrul district.

Additional CE of PHED L Ibomcha, Director of CCDU Manipur L Swaminikanta, EE of Ukhrul PHED A Nikunja and AE Themreisang spoke on various topics.

EE Nikunja said that latrines would be constructed for families who could not afford the cost of Rs 12,000 per latrine under total sanitation campaign.

90 percent of the total cost will be borne by the Centre while the remaining 10 percent would be borne by the State.

He appealed to the villagers to construct the latrines as per the guidelines issued by the Centre.
