Imphal, October 07 2026: A meeting of the Executive Committee/Core Committee of the Native Peoples' Committee, Manipur was held on October 5 at Hotel Imphal.

The meeting deliberated on the resignation letter tendered by convenor Ashang Kasar, who expressed his inability to continue as the convenor due to personal constraints.

After minute deliberation, the committee unanimously resolved to accept his resignation, said the NPC in a statement.

A meeting of the Executive Council will be held on October 17 at 11 am at the Press Club, Imphal for the election Of a new convenor, it said.
