One shot on legs

Imphal, October 06 2024: A 24 year old youth was shot on both the legs by some unidentified persons and abandoned at the foot of a banyan tree at Pechi Chinglak under Yairipok police station at around 4 pm today.

The victim has been identified as K Romario (24) s/o Romi of Heingang Mayai Leikai, Imphal East.

Unidentified persons pumped in a bullet each on his right and left thigh.

Romario has been taken to Shija Hospital after receiving first aid at Yairipok Hospital.

So far, no group has claimed responsibility for shooting Romario.

Police have registered a case in connection with the incident.
