CoTU calls total shutdown

Kangpokpi, June 02 2024: The Committee on Tribal Unity (CoTU) Sadar Hills called a 12-hour total shutdown on June 3 to commemorate the 13th Remembrance Day.

According to CoTU, the total shutdown will begin from 6 am on June 3 and culminate at 6 pm the same day.

All Government and private institutions will also be closed on June 3 in the entire Kangpokpi district.

Additionally, all business establishments and shops will be closed for the day.

Candlelight vigil will be held at Martyrs' Cemetery Phaijang at 6 pm to pay homage to the Kuki-Zo martyrs in the ongoing violence.
