Freight train delivers rice to Khongsang Station

Noney, March 01 2025: A special Indian Railways freight train carrying FCI rice, comprising 29 wagons, arrived at Khongsang Railway Station in Noney district on Saturday at around 1:10 pm.

The train departed from Jiribam station earlier that morning at 11 am.

According to Khongsang station master Sinreap Gangmei, unloading the rice onto trucks is currently underway and is expected to take two to three days to complete.

He also noted that in the past two months (January and February), seven freight trains arrived at Khongsang Station each month.
