The annual Snan Jatra was observed today at Shree Shree Govindaji Temple, Palace Compound, organised by the Shree Shree Govindaji Temple Board.
All Temple loishangs and heads of various loishangs took part in the ritual.
Speaking on the occasion, Phurailatpam Jayadev Sharma, Dharma Chakrabati of Govindaji Brahma Sabha, said Snan Jatra has been performed on "Engagi Pumima" since the reign of Maharaja Chandrakirti.
The ceremony is believed to cleanse sins, suffering, and misfortunes of devotees for the year, ensuring peace and well-being.
