Three found dead in Ccpur

Imphal, July 25 2014 : Three dead bodies of men believed to be cadres of Kuki National Liberation Front (KNLF) were found abandoned at Silmat and Thingchong village in Churachandpur district this morning.

Police sources said the body of the man who was foundat Silmat village this morning around 6.30 has been identified as Poulanmun Gangte (45) alias Momot s/o Khumang Gangte of Moreh Ward no 9, while the two other bodies which were found near a canal at Thingchong village this morning at around 7.30 were identified as that of Pouthangsang Vaiphei (23) alias Plao Vaiphei s/o Khemle Japao Vaiphei of Pangkaktuwang village, Myanmar and Sheikhalun Haokip (28) s/o Thangkholet Haokip of Tolphai village, Churachandpur district.

Sheikhalun Haokip was reportedly abducted by some unidentified armed men from near his residence on July 24 around 5 am.

There were knife wounds and injury marks believed to have caused by some blunt objects on all the three dead bodies which have been handed over to their respective families after post mortem at Churachandpur District Hospital later today.
