Imphal, August 16 2016:
The JAC constituted against the killing of Md
Abdul alias Rahaman of Thoubal Moijing has decried the State
Police Department's failure to pull up the main accused of the killing.
Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club here
today, JAC Against the Brutal Killing of Md Abdul alias
Rahaman convenor Md Roman Shah said that police are yet
to recover Abdul's wallet, service identity card, ATM card and
the weapon(s) used in the murder.
Informing that two brothers accused in the killing have
been already pulled up, Roman urged the Government to
award befitting punishment to all the culprits and also to pull
up the third accused who is still at large.
If the two accused (Atikur and Zakaur) who have been
already pulled up are released on bail, local people would hold
a meeting and award befitting punishment.
The Government should be held accountable if any untoward incident breaks out when people punish the two accused, the convenor added.
