Imphal, August 30 2025: State police bomb disposal squad safely disposed of a 45 Kg bomb at Langathel Chingol, under Thoubal police station yesterday.

The massive "old" bomb was discovered on August 28 morning while extracting sand from the Heirok river for construction of a house.

The police bomb squad recovered the bomb and safely detonated it at 4.30 pm yesterday at Langathel Chingol.

Thoubal police have registered a case in connection with the incident.
