Imphal, September 29 2025: An 11-year old boy sustained bullet injury when a stray bullet fired by unknown persons struck him on his arm last night at around 8.30 at Malom Mamang Leikai, Bishnupur district under Nambol police station.

The injured minor has been identified as Sagolsem Malemthoiba (11) s/o Basanta of Malom Mamang Leikai.

He was inside his house along with other family members when a bullet coming from an unknown direction hit his arm.

Malemthoiba was immediately rushed to RIMS Hospital for treatment and he was discharged this morning.

The boy is said to be stable.

Nambol police have reportedly visited the incident site and registered a case regarding the incident for necessary investigation and legal procedure, sources said.
