UPF condemns bus burning

Imphal, October 28 2008: United People's Front (UPF) today said it is deeply shocked at the gory act of burning Airbus Travel's tourist bus at Naorijan in Assam that kills two passengers and injured many others.

A statement issued by T Saumel, Secretary Information and Publicity of the armed group said, the perpetrator of the heinous act, the KLO/KLA is not a member of the UPF and not a party to the Suspension of Operation (SoO), and that UPF has condemned the cowardly act in the strongest term besides sharing the grief and sorrow of the bereaved families.
