Chandel, February 25 2025: Assam Rifles rescued the driver of a truck who lost control of his vehicle and plunged nearly 100 meters into a gorge near Gamphazol village in Khengjoi sub-division in Chandel district on February 24 .

According to a press release issued by IGAR (S), the truck came to a halt after getting entangled in dense vegetation as the driver remained trapped inside the mangled cabin with severe injuries.

Assam Rifles teams quickly reached the location, extricated the injured driver, provided immediate medical assistance, and evacuated him to District Hospital Chandel for urgent treatment.
