Police arrest Motbung assault suspect

Kangpokpi, September 21 2025: Kangpokpi Police have arrested one individual in connection with the assault on a Tangkhul Naga auto driver near Presidency College Gate at Motbung on September 17 .

The arrested person has been identified as Seibem Lhouvum (29), son of Hensei Lhouvum of K Phoipi Veng, Motbung.

Family testimonies said that Seibem is a drug abuser with no association whatsoever with any militant organisation.

His family clarified that he has no links with the Kuki National Army (KNA) or any armed group.

The arrested individual is currently in police custody while investigation continues.
