Maram Union delegation calls on Governor

Imphal, December 19 2025: A four-member delegation from the Maram Union called on Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla at Lok Bhavan, Imphal, today.

As per a release issued by Lok Bhawan, the delegation briefed the Governor about the grievances and challenges being faced by the Maram people.

They also briefed the Governor on issues related to recognition and documentation of the Maram traditional system, preservation of monoliths and heritage sites, promotion of the Maram dialect, support for cultural festivals and development of horticulture initiative.
