Imphal, September 16:
Many of the agitators who were arrested by police in connection with the stir undertaken by the All Manipur Government Aided College Teachers' Association have not been released yet, AMGACTA has demanded immediate release of the students and teachers still detained by police.
A statement issued by AMGACTA while reminding of the MoU signed with the State Government on September 13 which ended their stir, observed that it has been in practice to release all the detained strikers held in connection with a stir once the stir is suspended following an agreement with the Government.
