Imphal, March 15 2026: A book titled "Shumang Lila Of Manipur (Theatre in Practice and Theory)", authored by Dr Ksh Imokanta, was formally released today at Central Hall, Science Block, Dhanamanjuri University (DMU), Imphal.

The function was graced by dignitaries, including Prof W Chandbabu, Vice Chancellor, DM University; retired IAS officer K Radhakumar, Sahitya Akademi Awardee Dr Makhonmani Mongsaba, Prof Ch Priyoranjan (retired), and eminent Shumang Lila artist Narendra Ningomba.

Notably, the book features 8 chapters, including dedicated sections on female roles (Nupi Sabi) and 'Nupi Shumang Lila' .
