Democratic Students Alliance of Manipur (DESAM) today appealed authorities of government recognized private schools and private English schools to admit children in their schools according to the merit lists of entrance test or any other forms of test conducted before getting admission and not to indulge in taking bribe.
A statement of the student body signed by its education and academic affairs secretary, P Premchandra also asked parents and guardians not to bribe through ministers, MLAs and police officers in order to get admission their children in good schools they wanted.
It observed that parents are leaving no stone unturned to get admission their children to the school they wanted as they even use names of the underground organisations, NGOs and pressure groups and urged parents and guardians to avoid this.
