Imphal, September 14 2026: Judge Yumkham Rother of the Special Court (POCSO), Imphal West, today sentenced 32-year-old rape convict Ningthoujam Ramesh Singh alias Tondonba to 20 years' rigorous imprisonment for committing penetrative sexual assault on a minor girl on November 20, 2021 within the jurisdiction of Sekmai Police Station, Imphal West.

The Court had convicted Ramesh of Awang Wabagai Maning Leikai, under Section 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act on September 9 .
