Imphal, July 12 2024: Please refer to the news item under the heading "Hotel Tampha clarifies" on page 9 of the July 12 issue of this paper.

It is hereby clarified that the first paragraph of the news item should be read as "Proprietor Hotel Tampha Keisham Jyotindro Singh has clarified that MD Alimuddin who has been named as the proprietor of Hotel Tampha in the leaflet of SOREPA is not related in anyway with them (Hotel Tampha)" and not as published.

The second paragraph, on the other hand, should be read as "Jyotindro, in a statement, also said that they are not involved in illegal activities" .

The inadvertent error is deeply regretted.
