Imphal, May 12 2026: Renowned Manipuri writer AK Sheram has been named as the recipient of this year's Dr Thiyam Suresh Literary Lifetime Achievement Award 2026 by the Patriotic Writers Forum (PAWF), Manipur.

The official announcement was made today by Naoroibam Khamba Luwang, president, Patriotic PAWF.

According to a press release, the award will be handed over to the author on April 23 at Tripura.

Notably AK Sheram has written more than 40 books.

Some of his works include Basanta Kunnipalgi Leirang (1982), Nongoubi (2021), Lammangnaba (2012), Nungshibagi Tengtharol (2016) and Numidangwairamgi Chingonglei (2023) .
