Senapati, January 10 2026: Shuli Chakre has been elected as the new president of Mao Students' Union following a poll held today at its Office Headquarters, Tadubi.

Other office bearers elected for the 2026-28 tenure are vice-president - Tuni Khrasi; general secretary - Kaisii Lot Pfotte; assistant general secretary - Simon Athili; secretary, education & statistics - Daiho Lokho and speaker - Salew Kaihrii.

According to sources, the handing over of files and oath of secrecy will be carried out within 10-15 days.
