Chakpikarong, February 07 2020: An awareness programme on Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana was held on February 6 at Serou Lamkhai.

The one day awareness cum enrolment programme which was held yesterday for weavers of Chakpikarong area was initiated by District Handloom and Textile, Chandel Project Manager Bimola.

The weavers of Chakpikarong were enrolled under the weaver insurance scheme and also received instructions and information on the schemes and weaver card.

As a part of the awareness programme, new weaver cards were also issued to the people.
