Imphal, December 06: Contradicting police claim, the proscribed outfit PREPAK has denied any connection with Thounaojam Bimola alias Shila (28) d/o Thounaojam Gopalbi Singh of Wangjing Hodamba Leirak who was reportedly arrested by Thoubal Police Commandos from Kakching Sumak Leikai yesterday.

In a statement, Thoubal District Commander of PREPAK (Red Army) Ajit Meitei said the said woman has nothing to do with activities of the outfit and its Red Army.

Decrying the attitude of the security personnel in arresting innocent person and later dubbing them as underground activists and subjecting them to severe torture, Ajit asserted that failure of security personnel to use women police at the time of arresting the woman is in violation of the rights of the woman.
