Imphal, August 03 2024: Please refer to the news item published under the heading "HAC Chairman laments SC judgement" on August 3, 2024, it is hereby clarified that the same heading should be read as "HAC Chairman hails SC judgement" .

Further, the second para "...the apex Court's judgement is rather unfortunate for a multi-ethnic State like Manipur..." should be read as "...the apex Court's judgement is rather fortunate for a multi-ethnic State like Manipur...", and not as published.

The oversight is deeply regretted.
