Imphal, July 01 2026: A decomposed body of a male was in a forested area of Parengba Khunthak, Kangpokpi district under New Keithelmanbi police station today.

According to a press note issued by the OC of the police station, the deceased might be 25-35 years in age.

He wore blue jean pants, multi-coloured T-shirt and a ring on a finger.

The body has been deposited at RIMS mortuary and the same would be disposed of following legal procedure if the deceased could not be identified by July 8, it said.
