Oil tanker catches fire along NH-102

Imphal, March 31 2023: An oil tanker transporting diesel from IOC Imphal to a fuel outlet in Moreh caught fire on the way between Khudenthabi and Lokchao along NH-102 under Moreh police station in Tengnoupal district on Thursday.

The oil tanker (AS01EC-5155) was driven by one Romesh (25) son of Sanjitkumar of Kanglatongbi.

It accidentally caught fire in the engine around 4pm.The driver escaped unhurt.

Meanwhile, Moreh fire service team along with NHIDCL officials arrived at the scene and put off the fire around 4.50 pm.
