Imphal, June 25 2009: The Kuki National Organisation (KNO) has expressed its sadness at the sudden demise of one of its seniormost cabinet member and secretary organiser/public relations Sanchong Nehmang Haokip @ SNG Haokip on June 23 after prolong illness, a KNO release issued by Lenin Kuki conveyed.

The KNO also remembers him for his significant contributions to the KNO and laudable initiatives taken under his leadership in restoring unity and brotherhood among the various kindred Kuki tribes in Assam, Manipur and Nagaland.

The KNO also extends last salute to SNG Haokip, who also authored a book, 'Kukite Chondan Khandan' (customary practices of the Kukis), while also praying for peace to the bereaved family.
