Imphal, June 30: All Colleges Tribal Students' Organisation, Manipur (ACTSOM) has decried the detention of Titus Kamei, chairman of Zeliangrong Youth Front (ZYF), Nungba Division after being picked up from near the residential gate of ex-DC Tamenglong T Panmei on June 26.In a statement, information and publicity secretary of the student body Kamei Pourengai Kabui said being a social worker Titus Kamei has been working for the welfare of tribal people living in the hill districts for the last many years.

Concerned over the misuse of fund for tribal development, Titus has been trying to collect the relevant information through RTI Act, Pourengai said, while appealing to all concerned who are detaining Titus Kamei to release him safely on humanitarian ground as well as in the interest and welfare of the tribal people.
