VIPs' escort personnel get special training

Imphal, October 28 2008: THE STATE security personnel who are attached as escort cum house guards of the VIPs and senior officers in the state have started getting special training (capsule course), official sources said today.

The special training is being given to them so as to ensure their physical fitness, fighting preparedness, firing power readiness, technical driving etc.

The training started from yesterday at the Manipur Police Training School, Pangei in batch-wise manner.

A total of 91 personnel of the Manipur Rifles and IRB battalions have been detached from their respective posting to the VIPs and senior officers of the state government and sent to the MPTS for obtaining the training, the sources said.
