Imphal, January 21, 2012: A 30-year old young man was found dead at Ngangou Loukon under Lilong Police Station early morning today.

The deceased has been identified as Md Farid Ahamed (30) s/o Md Alauddin of Lilong Haoreibi Turel Ahanbi.

There were strangulation marks on his neck besides injuries in his part private.

According to family members of the deceased, on account of his drug habit, Md Farid Ahamed was in jail for some time.

He was present in the house till 2 o'clock in the morning today.

The body was picked up by the police and kept in the mortuary of RIMS for post-mortem.

Along with registering a case, police have started an investigation into the incident.
