Kakching, April 17 2025: An awareness cum sensitisation programme on 'Juvenile Justice System Overview and the Prohibition of Child Marriage Act, 2006 was conducted for teachers of Kakching district by District Child Protection Unit (DCPU), Kakching with support of the district administration at Wairi Kongoi community hall on Wednesday.

During the programme, Child Welfare Committee, Kakching chairperson Kumari Naorem spoke on 'Juvenile Justice System Overview' and DCPU legal cum probation officer M Robindro on 'Prohibition of Child Marriage Act 2006 as resource persons.

As part of the event, posters on JJ System and Prohibition of Child Marriage Act 2006 were pasted at Kakching Wairi Kongoi Bazar.
