AR nabs active cadre of PLA

Imphal, June 03 2021: Churachandpur Battalion Assam Rifles of IGAR (East) reportedly apprehended an active cadre of the proscribed PLA from Valpakot village in Churachandpur district on Wednesday.

In a release, PRO IGAR (S) informed that based on specific intelligence about presence of a PLA cadre in general area of Valpakot village, security forces launched an operation and successfully apprehended the cadre, who was involved in multiple attacks on Assam Rifles guarding the Indo-Myanmar Border.

The apprehended cadre identified as Telem Amit Kumar Singh alias Lintao been handed over to Churachandpur Police Station for further investigation, the release added.
