Imphal, October 24 2024: The last rites of PREPAK (Pro) Red Army lance corporal Nongmaithem Boneysana alias Nongdon were performed on Thursday ih accordance with customary practices using a "Pangong" tree plank.

Boneysana, who hailed from Wangkhei Angom Leikai, lost his life near the Indo-Myanmar border on Wednesday.

The funeral ceremony took place at Wangkhei Angom Leikai, after a procession up to Palace Gate traffic island, where people offered floral tributes.
