AR organises tree plantation drive

Imphal, August 21 2024: As part of its environmental mission.

Assam Rifles organised a mass tree plantation drive on Tuesday.

in association with local youngsters of Shangshak village.

Ukhrul district.

The tree plantation drive was participated by 43 locals.

The event commenced with a welcome speech that emphasised the importance of protecting the natural resources, especially forests.

The participants and AR personnel then cleaned up the area before planting of 2100 saplings along the Shangshak-Sorde road, which is part of the state highway 102A, as well as the village's public spaces, said a PRO IGAR (S) press release.
