Imphal, January 07 2009: Maintaining that it had urged not to allow admission in 'quota system' in the educational institutions of the State from 2006, Manipuri Students' Federation (MSF) appealed various powerful organisations and individuals not to pressurise the school/college authorities for admission in 'quota system'.

Saying that the system would discourage brilliant but poor students, MSF further warned that the school/college authorities would bear the responsibility of any consequence if admissions are carried out from back door under 'quota system'.

MSF clarified that it would not defend any of its volunteer who pressurises the college/school authorities to admit his/her ward in the institution using MSF's name.
