Chandel Bn remembers Kargil brave hearts

Imphal, July 28 2021: Chandel Battalion of IGAR (S) paid homage to the heroes of Kargil War in Chandel district on Sunday on the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas.

According to PRO IGAR (S), a wreath laying ceremony was organised at the native villages of the valiant soldiers.

Troops of Assam Rifles laid a floral wreath followed by Guard of Honour at war memorials of Lance Naik S Jirneithang Aimol, Sepoy Nicholas Moyon and Sepoy Beningvir Moyon, who made supreme sacrifice during the Kargil war.

The ceremony was witnessed by family members of the brave-hearts and veterans followed by interaction to address their needs and grievances, added the PRO in release.
