Imphal, February 23 2025: Assam Rifles in coordination with local police and other security forces destroyed more than 35 acres of poppy plantation in TM Kasom village, in Ukhrul district on Friday.

The joint effort was part of a comprehensive strategy to combat production of illicit drugs, safeguard the environment and to address threats to national security, a release of PRO-IGAR (S) said.
