Imphal, January 21 2009: The first ever "Aimol Cultural Meet 2009" organized by the Aimol Tribe Union, Manipur was held today at Kharam village in Senapati district.

Fifteen sub-tribes of the Aimol coming from different parts of the state took part in the meet.

The inaugural function of the meet was graced by branch manager of the SBI CN Aimol hailing from Longding village of Khon district, Arunachal Pradesh which presided by the president of the Aimol Tribe Union Athoi Bongte.

SP Wireless Manipur police Kh Rengkhupsiyak, two school head master M Wanlaliyan and LT Chomthang also attended as guest of honour.
