Imphal, April 17 2025: In protest against non-completion of the Lamsang bridge construction even after five years, organisations and meira paibi groups operating in Lamsang area launched indefinite blockade of the Uripok-Kangchup road from Thursday.

The agitators laid pipes and logs nearby the Lamsang bridge to enforce the blockade.

Speaking to media persons, one Konthoujam Mani informed that the locals are facing serious inconveniences due to inordinate delay in completing construction of the bridge.

He also said that the protest has been launched to press authorities concerned expedite construction work at the earliest.
