Bomb threat to WRD chief engineer

Imphal, October 10 2024: Police recovered a hand grenade from the Chingmeirong Rongmei Kailuang residence of Water Resources Department chief engineer of Remmei Alimmei on Thursday.

According to a police report, unknown persons lobbed the explosive device towards the chief engineer's house around 3:13 am Thursday, and landed at the courtyard but did not explode.

A team of Lamphel police station retrieved the grenade around 10:40 am.

A case has been registered at Lamphel police station for further investigation.
