Imphal, June 04 2016 :
United People's Administrative Council
(UPACO), Manipur has strongly condemned the announcement
of wanted tag on JCILPS convenor Khomdram Ratan by the State
government without verifying the facts.
In a statement, the
president of UPACO stated that it is a ploy of the State government
to suppress the ILP movement and Khomdram Ratan is the second
leader after Lamyanba Irabot to be declared as 'Wanted' in the
midst of people's movement.
Further, the organisation respect the
decision of Khomdram Ratan for resigning as JCILPS convenor
on moral ground and also urged the State government to withdraw
the "Wanted" tag, the statement added.
