Imphal, September 01: Maintaining that 60 percent of the Jiri population is foreigners, Federation of Regional Indigenous Societies (FRIENDS) said that foreigner check post at Jiri is not working, and the unchecked and uninterrupted flow of foreigners make Jiri now dominated by foreingers.

Giving the instance of Tripuri, the organisation said that the indigenous people would face the same fate if it is not checked in time.

The Govt should do the needful without waiting agitations from the public.
