AR organises tree plantation drive

Kangpokpi, July 30 2025: Assam Rifles on Tuesday organised a tree plantation drive at Veitum Khullen village in Kangpokpi district wherein a total of 37 civilians, including 13 children and seven women, and AR personnel planted 118 saplings throughout the village.

The plantation drive was aimed at promoting environmental awareness and sustainability among the local populace, as part of the Assam Rifles' continued efforts to foster ecological balance and community engagement in remote areas.

Events like these will help promote the vision of National Mission for Green India" and further strengthen the bond between Assam Rifles and the local populace, said an AR official.
