Eviction drive continues in IW

Imphal, July 23 2025: Imphal West district administration in collaboration with teams of district police on Tuesday continued eviction drive in areas under Imphal city against unauthorised structures and stacking commercial goods on the footpaths.

The drive was carried out from Khwairamband Keithel till the Jalan Provision Store crossing, Major Khul Gate, and from Sani Mandir to Khoyathong.

During the drive, around 194 structures constructed on pavements were dismantled and removed using excavators with owners of the unauthorised structures or shops pilling goods on the footpaths slapped monetary penalty.
