Silchar, March 18: A militant of the People's Liberation Army was arrested by the Army from a market in Silchar in Assam's Cachar district.

Official sources said here today that the militant, identified as Canedy Singh, was nabbed from the main market Fatak Bazaar in Silchar town yesterday evening and a pistol with several rounds of ammunition were recovered from his possession.

Singh was earlier arrested in 1996 along with three other PLA militants.
