Poppy farms destroyed in CCpur

Churachandpur, December 14 2021: Churachandpur district police led by Thanlon SDPO David Kilong along with 1st IRB and NAB officers and personnel conducted a drive against poppy cultivation near Tuinuphai village under Sangaikot sub-division located about 12 km away from Sangaikot PS in Churachandpur district on Tuesday.

During the drive, the team destroyed a total of 80 acres of poppy farm which would have yielded about 320 kg of opium upon harvesting.

In this regard, a case has been registered at Churachandpur police station under FIR No 109(12)2021 CCP PS under 18 ND&PS Act against unknown cultivators.
