Imphal, August 01 2026: The Indian Red Cross Society, Imphal East District Branch, in association with the Department of Transfusion Medicine, RIMS, organised a voluntary blood donation camp today as part of Brahmacharimayum Dishiraj Sharma's 18th birthday celebration.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Balindro, Head of Department, Blood Centre, RIMS, lauded Dishiraj for choosing to mark his birthday with a life-saving gesture instead of wasteful celebrations.

He also acknowledged Dishiraj's mother, B Roji, blood coordinator of IRCS Imphal East, for her continued contribution.

A total of 20 people donated blood during the camp.
