Imphal, December 28 2011: While digging for a construction work inside the complex of Imphal Tulihal Airport, three 81 mm Mortars of World War II period were discovered today.

The mortars were picked-up by an explosive expert team of Manipur Police.

Appeared to be around 10 inch long, the police team defused two mortars and set off successfully at Langol.
