Moirang, August 28 2024: A man who made monetary demands in the name of an armed group was held by AT, Bishnupur QRT team this afternoon.

The person detained has been identified as Chabungbam Bishworjit (28), son of Ch Sanatomba of Bishnupur Awang Leikai, Ward No 1 .

Bishworjit was nabbed by the AT personnel at an area between Tiddim and Khoupum road.

He was allegedly making monetary demands from goods carrier vehicles using a fake receipt book of an armed group.

The person has been handed over to the family after counselling, said AT .
