Imphal, July 27 2024: Uniden-tified persons suspected to be armed militants hurled a hand grenade at the residence of Haobijam Balidas (56), EE of Rural Engineering Department, located at Thangapat Harikhagok Mapal under Porompat PS, Imphal East this morning.

Sources said the unexploded hand grenade was found lying in the courtyard by family members who informed the police.

Imphal East police picked up the explosive from the spot at around 6.15 am.

Porompat police have registered a case for investigation.

Sources said that incident may be related to monetary demands.
